Movement Therapy focuses on exercising with specific functional movements in optimising core stability and postural awareness in daily activities. A session involves assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of pain, injury, and other movement dysfunctions through the use of exercise therapy, primarily being Schroth Therapy and Clinical Pilates.
Schroth therapy is a type of specialized exercise method for spinal care that originated from Germany for the use for people with scoliosis, kyphosis and/or different types of spinal deformities, and is known as the gold standard for conservative treatment for scoliosis.
Clinical Pilates is a type of modified Pilates method used for strengthening the core and postural muscles as well as the prevention of common musculoskeletal conditions like neck and back pain.
