About Surbjit

I began my Pilates journey in 2004 at Pilates Bodyworks.  A major milestone of this journey was that it helped to rehabilitate my back and muscle imbalances.

I went on to explore Pilates at Dianne Miller studio in Vancouver, Canada, to expand my knowledge further in the rehabilitation aspects of movement.

Through the years, I developed a holistic view of movement and how different modalities complement one another so we can function optimally—physically, emotionally, and mentally.

I pursued other modalities such as Sivananda Yoga, Reiki Healing, Vipassana Meditation and Breathwork through Kundalini Yoga.

At times, I incorporate the Franklin Method—a skill set on communicating instructions of exercises through verbal, tactile, visualisation, and imagery cues.

Pilates is so much more than exercise - it’s a lifestyle complementing our bodies and minds.
